The farm has a small flock of around 100 laying hens that produce brown eggs. We did have them outside on grass in their movable shelter and net fencing. BUT we have kept them inside the barn the past few years when there was some outbreaks of avian influenza. They have lots of space to roam around and deep straw bedding. I hope to bring them back out to pasture but I'm not sure when that will be. They are fed the standard layer ration feed from the Co-Op feed mill. Eggs are $6 per dozen.
