The farm has a small flock of around 100 laying hens. There is a mix of commercial brown layers and heritage breed Barred rocks that also produce brown eggs. They live outside on grass from spring to fall in their movable shelter and net fencing. In the cold months of the year they live inside the warm barn in the insulated hen room where they have lots of space to roam around. They are fed the standard layer ration feed from the Co-Op feed mill. Eggs are $5 per dozen.
