About. This business started as teBogt's Produce & Meat run by me, Emily teBogt. I grew up in Grand Pre helping my family on their dairy and poultry farm that was started by my grandparents in 1955 after immigrating from Holland. I always knew I wanted to continue farming, but take it in a different direction. In spring 2011 when I was 18 years old I grew my first market garden on a field my family let me use, and sold my sweet corn, carrots and potatoes on the end of my driveway. After graduating from the Nova Scotia Agriculture College with my Plant Science diploma in 2012 I expanded my crop variety and started selling at the Wolfvile Farmers Market. Also in 2012 I bought my first 5 sheep the weekend after graduation. Then in 2013 I got my first flock of laying hens and 4 sows and a boar to breed the pigs. It's been a lot of work building my business and acquiring tools to succeed such as cold storage for my vegetables and a greenhouse so I can be at the market year round. I love growing food and this life of a farmer, I knew it was my purpose in life since I was a teenager. I would be honoured to provide food for you and your family, so reach out and lets connect!

Our GoalMy mission is to feed as many Nova Scotians as I can. I like to educate people on the importance of buying from local farmers and how fresh vegetables are best.

Things changed in 2019 when I met Lloyd on a dating app. Turned out he grew up on a farm too and wanted to quit his job and get things running on his family farm again in Medford. The Parker family has been in Medford since the early 1900s and Lloyd is the 5th generation on this farm. They grew apples and then in the 1970s started growing potatoes. They also added strawberries, grain crops and more vegetables such as cabbage, rutabagas and beets. Lloyd's dad Wayne Parker was one of the founding farmers of Kings Produce which was a marketing co-op of a bunch of vegetable growers in Kings County.
